The Calvi Network Meeting includes moments of visit to companies, relevant for the Calvi Group, whose innovative component is distinctive.
For 2019 we will make a journey through cutting edge MANUFACTURIN’ example of innovation, able to interpret their strong tradition and expertise with groundbreaking approach.
A smart railway manufacturer (Alstom Ferroviaria S.p.A.), an hi-tech glass machinery company (Bottero S.p.A.), and wea pioneering company in automation (Comau S.p.A.) a R&D site where automotive innovation originates (Centro Ricerche Fiat).

Alstom Ferroviaria S.p.a.– Savigliano (CN) - Deeply rooted in the Italian railway tradition, Alstom in Italy has been manufacturing trains for 160 years. Today, with 8 sites, 2,650 employees, over 500 Pendolino trains built in Italy and sold in 13 countries, including UK, Russia, Finland and China, and more than 400 regional trains for public, private and regional operators, Alstom is one of the leaders on the Italian market. It can boast two centers of excellence, as the one in Savigliano (CN) for regional and high-speed trains (Pendolino) and based on tilting technology. Alstom has made considerable investments in its industrial base in Italy. Alstom’s site in Savigliano (CN) is an example of Factory 4.0, with a cutting-edge 3D virtual reality room enabling engineers to design trains for easier maintainability.

Bottero S.p.A – Cuneo (CN) - Established in Cuneo in 1957, Bottero, with more than 50.000 installations all over the world, is the worldwide leading company in the production of glass processing machines, for any type of glass and thickness: flat glass, hollow glass and special systems. Bottero machines serves many industries: food and drink glass containers, automotive, household appliance, TV screens and mobile devices, solar panels and much more. Bottero is currently an international industrial group, with branches in Italy, Germany, France, the UK, the US, China and Brazil, and a workforce of over 800 direct employees, 25% of which consists of Engineers working in its R&D and Servicing units. Always looking at the cutting-edge technologies, Bottero exploits its experience for the development of innovative machines, as the one for the production of ultra-thin glass for mobile phones and protection, the latest generation of renewable technologies, with double-sided modules, and the production of energy-saving hollow glass machinery.

Comau S.p.A. – Grugliasco (TO) - Comau is a leading company in the industrial automation field, at a global level, combining innovative engineering solutions with easy-touse, open automation and enabling technologies. Founded in 1970 and based in Turin as a Machine Tool Corporation connected to the Automotive world, Comau is an integrated company with 20 subsidiaries, part of the FCA Group, that develops and implements automation processes, solutions and production services and specializes in welding robots and machines for automated warehouses.

Centro Ricerche Fiat CRF – Orbassano (TO) - The CFR is part of the FCA group founded in 1978 and dedicated to the design and development of research and innovation activities in the automotive sector. The CRF operates within the worldwide FCA group in synergy with the technical and methodological competence centres distributed in four operational regions. CRF considers innovation as a strategic lever for the business of the group, which mission is that to develop innovative powertrains, vehicle systems, materials, methodologies and processes to improve the competitiveness of FCA products.
